Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Interstate 94 in St. Paul

SAINT PAUL: A 26-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 94 in St. Paul on Wednesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash occurred on westbound Interstate 94 beneath West Seventh Street in Ramsey County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol's crash incident report, a 2016 Lincoln MKX was traveling westbound in the center lane when it struck a pedestrian who was in the lanes of traffic.

The pedestrian, identified only as a 26-year-old, died as a result of the crash. The State Patrol has not yet released the victim's identity.

No additional information about the circumstances leading up to the crash or whether the driver was injured has been released. The incident remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
