Two 18-Year-Olds Arrested After Pursuit; Ramsey County Deputies Recover Alleged “Ghost Guns”

RAMSEY COUNTY MN: Two 18-year-olds were arrested after a traffic stop escalated into a pursuit involving multiple squad cars and the recovery of what the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office described as illegal “ghost guns.”
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies initially attempted to stop a Ford Fusion for what was expected to be a routine traffic stop. Authorities said the 18-year-old driver, identified only as a St. Paul man, refused to stop and attempted to flee.
During the pursuit, the driver allegedly rammed several squad cars before deputies used their vehicles to box in the Ford Fusion and stop it, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies then removed the driver and his 18-year-old passenger from the vehicle and took both into custody.
The sheriff’s office said the suspects were arrested on allegations including fleeing law enforcement, causing a property-damage crash, and illegal possession of firearms.
Authorities said deputies recovered multiple so-called “ghost guns” from the vehicle, describing them as AR-style pistols that were allegedly untraceable and illegal.
No injuries were announced by the sheriff’s office.
