ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA - A St. Paul man suffered serious injuries Sunday afternoon after a motorcycle crash at the intersection of 145th Street West and County Road 42 in Rosemount, according to authorities.

According to Rosemount Police, the Eagan Police Department, the Rosemount Police Department, and the Rosemount Fire Department responded around 3 PM on May 17, 2026, to the intersection following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle. Eagan Police responded while they were assisting with coverage of the city, while Rosemount was hosting an event in town.

According to initial information released by authorities, officers learned a 45-year-old man from St. Paul, Minnesota, was operating a Honda sportbike when he was involved in the crash. Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, the Minnesota State Patrol Reconstruction Team was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Preliminary findings indicate the motorcyclist allegedly failed to yield to westbound traffic on County Road 42 before being struck by a Chevy HHR driven by a 40-year-old man from Farmington.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported by M Health Fairview ambulance crews to Regions Hospital for treatment.

Authorities said the Farmington driver was not injured in the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
