Shots Fired Investigation Underway in Rosemount; No Injuries Reported

ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA - Police in Rosemount are investigating a report of shots fired on Friday evening after officers located evidence of a discharged firearm in a residential area.

According to the Rosemount Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 6:43 p.m. on April 10, 2026, to the area of 147th Street West and Akron Avenue following an isolated incident in which a report of shots fired was received. When officers arrived, they located a single spent shell casing. No victims were found at the scene, and no suspects have been identified at this time. Authorities say the investigation remains active as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, including when the shot was fired and who may be responsible.

At this time, officials emphasized there is no known threat to the public based on the information currently available.
