Vehicle Rollover Causes Significant Delays on I-35E in Saint Paul Friday Afternoon

SAINT PAUL, MN: A three-vehicle crash on northbound I-35E near Grand Avenue caused significant traffic delays Friday afternoon after one of the vehicles rolled onto its side, blocking the road.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, troopers responded to the crash at approximately 1:49 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, with Saint Paul Police, Saint Paul Fire, and MnDOT F.I.R.S.T.

Preliminary information indicates a Ford F-150, Subaru Forester, and Toyota Sienna were all traveling northbound in the left lane of I-35E when a rear-end style collision occurred. During the crash, the Subaru Forester rolled onto its side.

The driver of the Subaru was transported to a hospital with suspected injuries. Authorities have not released additional information regarding the severity of those injuries.

The crash led to significant traffic congestion and delays in the area as emergency crews responded and worked to clear the scene.

The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
