SAINT PAUL MN: Saint Paul Fire Department responded to three separate structure fires within a 90-minute period Saturday afternoon, including one that required the rescue of an adult woman and a toddler.
According to SPFD, crews were dispatched to the three fires across the city while continuing to respond to other emergency calls throughout Saint Paul.
Officials said the fires left people injured or displaced and resulted in some residents losing their homes. Additional details about the number of people injured or the extent of damage from the three fires were not immediately provided.
Despite the fires occurring within a short period of time, firefighters, EMTs and paramedics worked to protect residents and property while maintaining emergency services elsewhere in the city.
Saint Paul Fire-EMS acknowledged the impact the incidents will have on the affected families as they begin recovering.
“Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the three structure fires that occurred Saturday afternoon across Saint Paul,” the department said.
