Semi-Truck Crashes Into Ditch Near County Road 101 and Hwy 13 in Savage

SAVAGE, MN: The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a semi-truck crash that left two people with non-life-threatening injuries on Monday afternoon, March 2, 2026, in Savage.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, troopers were called at 1:18 p.m. to the area of westbound County Road 101 near Highway 13.

Authorities say a semi-truck without a trailer was traveling eastbound on County Road 101 when it lost control. The truck crossed the median and the westbound lanes before striking a light pole, a guardrail, and a tree. The vehicle then came to rest in a ditch. The driver had to be extricated from the cab due to the severity of the crash. Both the driver and a passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
