Shots Fired Investigation Underway in West St. Paul; No Injuries Reported

WEST SAINT PAUL MN: An investigation is underway after multiple gunshots were reported Wednesday evening near the intersection of South Robert Street and Annapolis Street in West St. Paul.
According to the West St. Paul Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 8:00 p.m. following reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they located multiple shell casings in the roadway.
Based on information gathered from witnesses, police believe the suspect or suspects may have fled the area on foot and could have remained nearby immediately following the incident. Officers conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area, but no suspects have been located.
Police said they are not aware of any injuries connected to the shooting.
The West St. Paul Police Department was assisted by the South St. Paul Police Department, Inver Grove Heights Police Department, Mendota Heights Police Department, and Saint Paul Police Department during the search.
The incident remains under active investigation.
