St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help Regarding Iron Range ATM Theft

St. Louis County MN — The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance as deputies investigate an ATM theft on the Iron Range.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, authorities were notified on February 2, 2026, of a theft involving cash taken from an ATM. Review of area security cameras showed a four-door sedan believed to be occupied by two individuals at the scene.

Investigators say one suspect was observed wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with a large white logo on the back. The second individual appeared to be wearing a dark-colored hoodie.

Photographs of the suspect vehicle and individuals involved have been released as part of the investigation. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may recognize the vehicle or suspects, or who has information related to the incident, to come forward.
