SAINT PAUL MN: A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with a deadly shooting that left one man dead and a woman critically injured in St. Paul.

According to a criminal complaint, officers responded around 1:10 p.m. on March 18 to an apartment in the 1500 block of Edmund Avenue after a 911 caller reported she had been shot and that another person was dead.

When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She identified the suspect as Creshawn Depre Pryor.

Officers also located an adult male inside the apartment with gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators recovered multiple shell casings and a firearm inside the apartment, along with evidence of gunfire throughout the unit.

According to the complaint, Pryor was later located at a residence on Thomas Avenue and taken into custody. A search warrant at that location led to the recovery of a rifle.

Pryor told investigators that another man had entered the apartment and that gunfire was exchanged. However, investigators noted inconsistencies in his account and said evidence did not support his claim that the other man fired a weapon.

Court documents also state Pryor and the injured woman had a history of domestic incidents. Investigators recovered recent messages in which Pryor allegedly made threats toward her.

A 3-year-old child was inside the apartment at the time of the shooting but was not injured.

Pryor is charged with second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, and first-degree assault causing great bodily harm.

The identity of the man who was killed has not yet been released. The case remains under investigation.

All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
