Man Charged with Gross Misdemeanor Indecent Exposure Involving Minor Under 16

SAINT PAUL MN - A gross misdemeanor indecent exposure charge has been filed in Ramsey County District Court against Francisco Gilberto Puente following an incident reported October 4th involving minors under the age of 16.

According to court filings, the alleged offense occurred on or about October 4, 2026. The criminal complaint charges Puente under Minnesota Statute § 617.23, Subdivision 2(1), which addresses lewdness and indecent exposure in the presence of a child.

Prosecutors allege that Puente willfully and lewdly exposed his body or private parts, procured another to do so, or engaged in open and gross lewdness, lascivious behavior, or public indecency in a public setting or a location where others were present, specifically in the presence of a minor under 16 years of age.

Under state law, a gross misdemeanor conviction carries a maximum penalty of up to 364 days in jail, a fine of up to $3,000, or both.

As with all criminal matters, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
