SAINT PAUL MN: A 58-year-old mother is fighting for her life after a hit-and-run crash Monday evening in St. Paul, and investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the driver responsible.

Her name is Lisa Giguere. She’s a mother. She’s a friend. And today, she remains in critical condition at Regions Hospital.

Just before 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, officers with the Saint Paul Police Department responded to the area of Pennsylvania Avenue near Rice Street. When they arrived, they found a woman lying in the roadway.

Authorities say she suffered life-threatening injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. She was transported to the hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Investigators believe Lisa was hit around 6:20 p.m. while attempting to cross Pennsylvania Avenue near the intersection with Rice Street. The driver did not stop.

Suspect Vehicle Information

Police believe the vehicle involved is a 2005–2007 blue Honda Odyssey minivan.

According to investigators:

  • The minivan was last seen traveling southbound on Rice Street after the crash.

  • It then turned east onto University Avenue.

Photos of a vehicle matching the description have been released. Anyone who recognizes the minivan — or knows who may have been driving it at the time — is urged to call the St. Paul Police Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Unit.

How You Can Help

If you have any information about the crash or the vehicle:

  • Call 651-266-5656

  • Ask for the Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Unit or Sergeant Moore.

Police say community tips could make the difference in holding the driver accountable.

Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward. Lisa’s loved ones — and investigators — are waiting.
