Two Injured, Three Detained After Shooting Near RiverCentre in Downtown Saint Paul

SAINT PAUL MN: Police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured and prompted a large response in downtown Saint Paul on Monday evening.
According to the Saint Paul Police Department, officers were dispatched around 5:30 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire at the RiverCentre parking ramp.
Officers arriving on scene reported hearing active gunfire in multiple areas. Authorities secured three separate scenes as part of the response: outside Grand Casino Arena, inside the RiverCentre parking ramp, and near the Ordway.
Two victims, both described as young adult males, were located with gunshot wounds that were not considered life-threatening.
Police said three possible suspects were taken into custody a short time later in the nearby area. Their identities and any potential charges have not yet been released.
Investigators with the department’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
The investigation remains active, and no additional information has been provided at this time.
