Burnsville Ice Center Hosting “Swiftie Skate Night” Celebration for Fans of Taylor Swift
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA – Fans of pop superstar Taylor Swift will have the chance to skate, sing, and celebrate their favorite music at a special themed event this week in Burnsville.
The City of Burnsville is inviting residents of all ages to attend Swiftie Skate Night on Thursday, March 13, at the Burnsville Ice Center. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and promises an evening filled with music, creativity, and community fun for “Swifties.”
The themed skating event will feature a variety of activities inspired by Taylor Swift’s music and fan culture. Organizers say attendees can expect a lively atmosphere, with fans skating to Swift’s songs and participating in themed activities throughout the evening.
Event Highlights
Participants can take part in several activities designed for fans of the singer, including:
Taylor Swift karaoke, where fans can sing along to their favorite songs
Friendship bracelet making, inspired by the popular fan tradition at Swift concerts
A Taylor Swift–themed photobooth
Themed concessions available for purchase
Open ice skating throughout the event
A 30-minute ice resurfacing break will take place in the evening.
Cost and Registration
Admission to the event is $10 per person. Skate rentals will be available for $6, though city officials note that rental skates are limited and cannot be reserved in advance. Rentals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and sizes may be limited.
Due to limited capacity, the city strongly encourages pre-registration. Walk-in participants will be accepted only until the event reaches capacity.
Participants are also encouraged to bring their own skates if possible.
Costumes Encouraged
Fans are invited to come dressed as their favorite Taylor Swift era, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event. Organizers say the goal is to create an “enchanted” night where attendees can sing, skate, trade bracelets, and connect with other fans.
