Large Multi-Agency Response to Third-Alarm House Fire in Burnsville Wednesday Morning
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - A large multi-agency response was called to the scene of a third-alarm structure fire in Burnsville early Wednesday morning, July 30, 2025. According to officials, the blaze broke out shortly after 7:40 a.m. in the 1000 block of Knob Hill Road.
The fire was initially reported as a garage fire, but had quickly spread to the rest of the house by the time firefighters arrived. At least two vehicles were reported to have caught fire during this incident, in addition to the garage and home.
Burnsville Fire and Burnsville Police were the first to respond, with significant mutual aid support requested due to the scale of the incident. Fire departments from Eagan, Bloomington, Savage, Apple Valley, and Lakeville, along with emergency medical personnel from Allina Health, all responded to assist in containing the blaze and ensuring the safety of residents. Despite the extensive damage to the home and at least one vehicle, Burnsville officials confirmed that no residents were injured.
Firefighters remained on scene for an extended period to extinguish hot spots and conduct a thorough search and safety check of the property.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
