School Bus and Sedan Crash in Eagan Sends One Driver to Hospital; Investigation Ongoing

EAGAN, MN: A two-vehicle crash involving a school bus and a sedan on Tuesday morning in Eagan left one person hospitalized and prompted an ongoing investigation by the Eagan Police Department.
According to the Eagan Police Department, officers, Eagan Fire, and MHealth medics were dispatched at approximately 8:50 a.m. on April 7, 2026, to the intersection of Cliff Road and Slater Road for a reported crash involving a District 196 school bus and a passenger vehicle. Authorities said the school bus was occupied by two adults and one juvenile at the time of the collision. The bus driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. No injuries were reported for the adult passenger or the juvenile on board.
The sedan involved in the crash had one occupant, an adult driver, who was transported to a nearby hospital with what officials described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation Underway
Police say the cause of the crash has not yet been determined. Investigators are currently reviewing evidence, including potential video footage, as they work to establish what led to the collision.
