FAXON TOWNSHIP, MINNESOTA - Authorities issued a shelter-in-place order for residents of Faxon Township on Sunday morning after a vehicle and personal items believed to belong to fugitive Vance Boelter were discovered in the area.
The Sibley County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the vehicle and several items — including a distinctive cowboy hat Boelter was last seen wearing — were located near the intersection of Minnesota Highway 25 and 301 Avenue. The discovery has prompted a large-scale law enforcement response involving dozens of officers, SWAT teams, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
The location where the vehicle and items were found is about 10-15 minutes east of Green Isle, Minnesota, and about two miles from the Boelter family residence. Law enforcement and SWAT teams were seen searching that residence yesterday afternoon.
