Vehicle Fire Temporarily Shuts Down Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - Emergency crews in Apple Valley responded to a vehicle fire Sunday afternoon that temporarily shut down part of Galaxie Avenue.
The call came out just before 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, with both Apple Valley Police and Apple Valley Fire being dispatched to the scene of a vehicle fire on southbound Galaxie Avenue, between Geneva Way and Safari Pass. Police quickly closed the road in both directions at Safari Pass and Geneva Way to allow fire crews space to extinguish the flames safely. The fire was quickly brought under control. All fire units were cleared from the scene around 4:02 PM.
We spoke with the owner of the vehicle, and he told us he opened the hood to check the engine, and the fire spread rapidly. Fortunately, he was not injured.
