The City of Burnsville Seeks Community Input on New Pickleball Court Facility
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - As interest in pickleball continues to surge across the Twin Cities, the City of Burnsville is exploring the development of a dedicated eight-court pickleball facility—and they’re asking the community to help decide where it should go.
City officials have launched a feasibility study to determine the best location for the proposed courts, narrowing the possibilities down to four parks: Cliff Fen Park, Rose Park, Alimagnet Park, and Hollows Park. The public is invited to attend a series of pop-up events in July and August to meet with project staff, learn more about the project, and share their input.
“We’re excited to move this project forward, but we want to make sure we’re doing it in a way that reflects the needs and preferences of the community,” city staff said. “Pickleball has grown rapidly in popularity, and having the right location for a new facility will help meet demand and ensure long-term success.”
Community Pop-Up Events Schedule:
Cliff Fen Park – Friday, July 25 | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Rose Park – Monday, July 28 | 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Alimagnet Park – Thursday, July 31 | 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Hollows Park – Saturday, August 2 | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Those unable to attend in person can still participate online. A brief community survey is available, along with an interactive map where residents can view the proposed areas and leave location-specific comments and suggestions.
The City encourages all residents—especially pickleball players and nearby park users—to get involved in the process.
