Chaska Man Charged Following Alleged Incident at Firemen's Park

CHASKA MN: A Chaska man is facing multiple charges, including gross misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct, following an incident at Firemen's Park in Chaska.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident occurred on or about May 25, 2026, at Firemen's Park in Chaska. Prosecutors charged Andrew Alexander Fenton, of Chaska, with fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving nonconsensual sexual contact.
According to the complaint, Fenton also intentionally obstructed, resisted, or interfered with a peace officer while the officer was engaged in the performance of official duties, and the alleged obstruction involved force or the threat of force.
The complaint further states Fenton engaged in disorderly conduct in a public or private place under circumstances that allegedly would alarm, anger, or disturb others or provoke a breach of the peace.
The fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct charge carries a maximum penalty of 364 days in jail and/or a $3,000 fine. The obstruction charge also carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail and/or a $3,000 fine. The disorderly conduct charge carries a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
The case remains pending in Carver County District Court.
Defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
