St. Paul Man Charged With First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, Threats of Violence in Ramsey County

SAINT PAUL MN: A St. Paul man has been charged in Ramsey County with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and threats of violence following allegations involving the use of force and personal injury.
According to a Ramsey County criminal complaint, Fredi Antonio Castillo was charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving penetration and the use of force resulting in personal injury. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $40,000 fine.
The complaint states that on or about May 25, 2026, in Ramsey County, Castillo engaged in sexual penetration with another person, caused personal injury to the victim, and used force during the assault.
Castillo was also charged with one count of threats of violence. According to the complaint, he threatened to commit a crime of violence “with purpose to cause, or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing, terror in another.”
That charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
The case remains active in Ramsey County District Court.
Defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
