Florida Man Charged in Dakota County with Electronic Solicitation of a Child Following Undercover Operation

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS MN: A Florida man has been charged in Dakota County with a felony count of electronic solicitation of a child, according to a criminal complaint.

Jonathan Cole Noble, of New Port Richey, Florida, is charged with Electronic Solicitation of a Child (Distribute Sexual Material) under Minnesota Statute 609.352.2a(3), with reference to 609.352.4. The charge carries a maximum sentence of up to five years in prison and/or a fine ranging from $3,000 to $10,000.

According to the criminal complaint, on or about April 2, 2026, Noble, who is over the age of 18, allegedly used an electronic communication platform to distribute material relating to or describing sexual conduct to a person he believed to be a child.

The complaint states the interaction occurred on the Kik application and involved an undercover officer with the Inver Grove Heights Police Department posing as a minor.

Authorities allege that Noble used the internet and electronic communication systems to send or share content of a sexual nature during the exchange.

The alleged offense is listed as occurring on April 2, 2026, in Dakota County. The case is assigned control number 26000941.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
