Driver Arrested for DWI After Vehicle Crashes Into New Brighton Home

NEW BRIGHTON MN: A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while impaired after crashing into a home in New Brighton Saturday evening, according to the New Brighton Department of Public Safety.
Authorities said emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 8:30 p.m. to the 2700 block of Innsbruck Drive following reports of a vehicle striking a house.
When police and fire personnel arrived, they determined that no injuries were reported despite the significant crash.
According to the department, the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while impaired (DWI).
Fire crews remained on scene to assist with cleanup efforts, secure a damaged water line, and help protect the property from further damage.
The New Brighton Department of Public Safety used the incident as a reminder to the community, urging motorists not to drink and drive.
