Three Young Adults Are Facing Charges in an Armed Facebook Marketplace Robbery in Apple Valley

Published: January 30, 2026

APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - The Dakota County Attorney’s Office has charged three young adults in connection with an alleged armed robbery on September 2025 that investigators say was coordinated through Facebook Marketplace and carried out at gunpoint inside an Apple Valley apartment building.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Dakota County District Court, Kidus Yared Adgeh, Adam Fanah Adam, and Jadon Marvin Christensen-Randle, all 18 or younger at the time of the offense, each face one count of Aggravated Robbery in the First Degree, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

The incident occurred on September 5, 2025, between approximately 6:02 and 6:18 p.m., at an apartment complex in the 15000 block of Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley.

Robbery Arranged Through Facebook Marketplace

According to court documents, an adult male victim and his girlfriend traveled to the apartment complex to sell a custom black PlayStation 5 and three controllers after arranging the transaction through Facebook Marketplace. The victim’s girlfriend had communicated with a user identified as “James Read,” who directed the couple where to park upon arrival.

The victim exited the vehicle alone and was met at the building's west entrance by an individual later identified as one of the suspects. The victim was instructed to walk down a hallway to plug in the PlayStation to confirm it worked. Investigators say that once inside, two additional suspects approached while displaying firearms, and a third suspect also produced a firearm.

All three allegedly demanded the PlayStation, and the victim complied. One suspect then escorted the victim out of the building at gunpoint. The victim immediately reported the robbery to his girlfriend, who tried to contact the Marketplace account but found it had been deleted. The couple then called 911.

Officers from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to the scene.

Snapchat Evidence and Gang References

Investigators believe the robbery was connected to individuals associated with an alleged group referred to in court documents as the “Juice Gang.” Search warrants were later executed on multiple Snapchat accounts associated with individuals believed to be involved.

According to the complaint, investigators recovered multiple Snapchat videos posted within minutes of the robbery that allegedly showed the stolen PlayStation and controllers inside a white sedan. One video also allegedly shows the victim being escorted from the building while firearms are visible. Additional Snapchat videos recovered from the suspects’ accounts allegedly show firearms, discussions about using Facebook Marketplace to commit robberies, and images of the stolen PlayStation later taken in a Walmart parking lot.

Investigators identified the suspects using videos, group chats, and IP address data that allegedly linked the fraudulent Facebook account used to arrange the robbery to a Rosemount address associated with one of the defendants.

Arrests and Seized Evidence

On January 20, 2026, all three defendants were taken into custody after being located in a vehicle that had just been reported stolen, according to the complaint. During that arrest, officers reportedly recovered three rifles and a firearm switch.

Earlier searches also led to the recovery of the stolen PlayStation and controllers, as well as a firearm and loaded magazine found in a locker at the apartment complex. The firearm was later submitted to federal authorities for analysis.

Jail Calls and Statements

The complaint outlines multiple recorded jail calls in which two of the defendants allegedly discussed law enforcement’s knowledge of the firearms, the robbery, and another suspect who had not yet been arrested at the time.

Post-Miranda statements provided by two of the defendants are also detailed in the charging documents. Investigators allege one defendant admitted to building firearms from parts and selling them, while another acknowledged coordinating the Marketplace transaction but denied directly participating in the robbery itself.

Active Warrants and Arrest Status

Court records show that Kidus Yared Adgeh and Adam Fanah Adam both currently have active body-only felony warrants issued in Dakota County in connection with the aggravated robbery case.

According to court records, the warrants for Adgeh and Adam were issued on January 23, 2026, for Aggravated Robbery in the First Degree, a felony offense under Minnesota law. Both warrants are listed as body-only, meaning no bail amount has been set, and the defendants are to be held pending court proceedings once taken into custody. Court documents indicate that the warrants are active statewide. If you have information pertaining to any of these individuals, call the Dakota County Sheriff's Office at 651-438-TIPS.

Court records further show that Jadon Marvin Christensen-Randle was arrested on January 28, 2026, in connection with the same case.

Each defendant is facing charges of Aggravated Robbery in the First Degree, involving the use or possession of a firearm during the commission of the crime. The offense carries a presumptive prison sentence under Minnesota law.

The case is being prosecuted by the Dakota County Attorney’s Office. All allegations remain unproven, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
