PLYMOUTH MN: A woman has been charged with a felony in Hennepin County after prosecutors allege she shared a private sexual video of another woman without her consent.

Elizabeth Victoria Adoga is charged with felony nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images. The charge carries a maximum sentence of three years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, Plymouth police received a report in June 2024 involving the alleged distribution of a private video depicting the victim engaged in sexual activity.

Prosecutors allege Adoga and the victim had both been involved with the same adult man. The complaint states that a fight involving Adoga, the victim and others occurred on June 9, 2024.

Later that day, Adoga allegedly sent the private video directly to the victim by text message. Investigators allege the victim had not consented to the video being shared and was upset and embarrassed after receiving it.

The following day, prosecutors allege the same video was sent to one of the victim's relatives through Facebook Messenger. The relative later provided investigators with a screen recording of the conversation, according to the complaint.

Authorities allege the messages came from accounts associated with Adoga.

Several months later, an investigator spoke with Adoga by phone. According to to the complaint, Adoga told the investigator she had been intoxicated when she sent the videos.

Prosecutors allege Adoga intentionally disseminated the video without the victim's consent and with the intent to harass her.

The allegations contained in a criminal complaint are accusations. Adoga is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
