Two-Vehicle Crash Involving a Rollover on Highway 13 in Burnsville Under Investigation
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA – Just before 7:40 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, emergency responders were dispatched to a rollover crash involving two vehicles on eastbound Highway 13, just under the County Road 5 overpass in Burnsville.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident involved a Honda Civic and a Jeep Renegade, both traveling eastbound on Highway 13, when the two vehicles collided. The impact caused the Civic to overturn onto its left side, blocking the left lane of traffic, while the Renegade was stuck blocking the right lane. Traffic was limited to using the right shoulder to get by the scene until the crash was cleared.
Despite the dramatic nature of the crash, and following the driver of the Civic being looked at, authorities confirmed that there were no injuries reported at the scene.
The Minnesota State Patrol states that they issued three citations to the driver of one Civic, who was identified as a 37-year-old male from Minneapolis. He was cited for: failure to drive with due care, no Minnesota driver’s license, and expired proof of motor vehicle insurance.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available from the ongoing investigation.
