EAGAN, MINNESOTA – Authorities are investigating a serious multi-vehicle crash that occurred Friday afternoon, August 1, 2025, on northbound I-35E in Eagan, just north of Lone Oak Road.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened around 4:41 p.m. and involved four vehicles: an International MV607 commercial truck, a Ford Escape, a Chevrolet C10 pickup, and a Ford F-150. Preliminary details from their investigation indicate that all vehicles were traveling in the same direction on northbound I-35E when the International MV607 rear-ended the Ford Escape. The force of the impact pushed the Escape onto the right shoulder. The commercial vehicle then struck a Chevrolet C10, which in turn was pushed into a Ford F-150 ahead of it.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, two people were injured in this crash. The driver and sole occupant of the Ford Escape, who has been identified as 54-year-old Anne Keroff of South St Paul, is suffering from life-threatening injuries and was sent to Regions Hospital. The second injury was to the driver and sole occupant of the Chevrolet C10, who was identified as Jason Lantz of Roberts, Wisconsin. Lantz reportedly has non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to Regions.
The driver of the 2024 International MV607 commercial vehicle was identified as 37-year-old Kou Lee of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. All drivers and passengers in this crash were reported to be wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not believed to be involved.
The northbound lanes of I-35E in the area were impacted during the emergency response and crash investigation, as both the middle and right lanes were closed, and the northbound on ramp from Lone Oak Road was also closed for several hours.
Authorities say the cause of the crash remains under investigation. No information has been released regarding citations or potential charges. More details will be released as they become available.
