BLOOMINGTON MN: — A Lakeville man is facing a felony charge after prosecutors allege he fled from law enforcement at speeds exceeding 120 mph before crashing into an SUV occupied by a woman and her 2-year-old baby in Bloomington.

Dante Louis Isenberg, 34, of Lakeville, has been charged in Hennepin County District Court with one count of felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.

According to the criminal complaint, law enforcement officers were on routine patrol near Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Sept. 12 when they spotted a white 2018 Mercedes sedan without a license plate affixed to the rear.

Officers allegedly saw the Mercedes traveling at a high rate of speed and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Prosecutors allege the Mercedes rapidly accelerated away, reaching speeds of more than 120 mph.

The complaint states officers terminated the pursuit because of concerns for public safety.

Soon afterward, other officers reported a crash involving the Mercedes. When officers arrived, they found that the Mercedes had allegedly T-boned a black Chevrolet Yukon.

According to the complaint, officers found a woman near the Yukon holding her 2-year-old baby. The woman was transported to a hospital and diagnosed with abdominal bruising. The complaint does not state that the child suffered any injuries.

Investigators determined the Mercedes was registered to Isenberg, according to prosecutors. The complaint alleges Isenberg ran from the crash scene but was apprehended nearby.

Isenberg remained in custody at the time the complaint was filed.

Felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle carries a maximum sentence of three years and one day in prison, a $5,000 fine, or both.

The allegations contained in a criminal complaint are accusations. Isenberg is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
