Felony Stop on 160th Street Stems from Weapons Call; One Arrested
LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA—The police incident that unfolded Saturday afternoon along 160th Street was the result of a weapons-related call that led to a felony stop and subsequent arrest.
According to the Lakeville Police Department, officers responded to a report of a weapons incident at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The arrest occurred near the intersection of 160th Street and Galaxie Avenue.
Authorities confirmed that the response resulted in the arrest of one individual. The suspect now faces multiple charges, including:
Fleeing a peace officer by a means other than a motor vehicle
Failure to yield while crossing a roadway outside of a designated crosswalk
Fifth-degree assault involving fear of bodily harm or death
Carrying or possessing a pistol without a permit in a public place — classified as a gross misdemeanor for a second or subsequent offense
Police say that the Lakeville Police Department was the sole agency involved in the incident. Authorities have not readily released the suspect's identity at this time, but we are working to obtain it. If and when that is released, we will update this story.
