Man Left in Coma After Brutal Assault In Minneapolis — Police Seek Public’s Help

MINNEAPOLIS MN: The Minneapolis Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect connected to a violent assault that has left a 45-year-old victim in a coma.
According to investigators with the department’s Assault Unit, the attack occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. on February 13 near Franklin Avenue East and 22nd Avenue South in Minneapolis.
Police say the victim was struck in the head multiple times with a log during the assault. As a result of the attack, the man remains in a coma.
Authorities released an image of a man who was observed at the time of the assault. Despite ongoing investigative efforts, no arrests have been made.
Investigators are urging anyone who recognizes the man in the photo — or who has any information about what happened — to come forward.
“Every detail matters,” police said. “Even information that may seem minor could help identify those responsible.”
