Mankato Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Person of Interest in North 4th Street Shooting

Published: November 14, 2025

MANKATO, MINNESOTA - Mankato Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual captured on surveillance video who is considered a person of interest in a shooting incident earlier this week.

According to the Mankato Department of Public Safety, multiple gunshots were fired into a residence in the 500 block of North 4th Street at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025. No injuries were reported, and investigators believe the residence was specifically targeted.

Authorities released a still image and partial surveillance footage of a male individual seen in the area around the time of the shooting. While the department has not publicly identified the person, they say additional video, either before or after the captured moments, could provide valuable leads.

Police are asking residents in and around the Washington Park neighborhood to check any home surveillance systems, including security cameras and doorbell video, for recordings from that evening. Investigators are specifically interested in clips showing the individual seen in the footage or any other unusual activity in the area around the time of the shooting.

Anyone who recognizes the person of interest, has relevant video, or noticed suspicious activity Monday night is urged to call 911 immediately. Tipsters can also provide information directly to the Mankato Department of Public Safety.

In a statement, the department thanked residents for their continued support, noting that community cooperation is often critical to solving violent crimes.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities are expected to release additional updates as more information becomes available.
