Hennepin County Man Charged with Two Counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct

MINNEAPOLIS: Hennepin County prosecutors have charged a 29-year-old man with two counts of alleged first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a victim under the age of 14.
According to official charging documents, Nahkal Jerimiah Holmquist faces two felony counts. Court records state the alleged offenses occurred in Hennepin County between June 1, 2026, and June 20, 2026.
Prosecutors allege that during that three-week window, Holmquist engaged in sexual penetration with a victim who was under 14 years old and more than 36 months younger than the defendant.
First-degree criminal sexual conduct carries severe statutory penalties under Minnesota law. If convicted, Holmquist faces up to 30 years in prison and fines ranging between $12,000 and $40,000 on each count, along with mandatory statutory conditional release requirements following any executed sentence.
A criminal complaint contains allegations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
