Two Injured in Apple Valley Motorcycle Crash on Cedar Avenue at McAndrews
APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - Two people were injured following a motorcycle crash late Tuesday morning, September 23, 2025, in Apple Valley.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, troopers responded around 11:26 a.m. to a report of a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near the bottom of the northbound ramp from McAndrews Road to northbound Highway 77 (Cedar Avenue). Apple Valley Police, Apple Valley Fire, and Allina Health Medics also assisted at the scene.
Authorities say the motorcycle, carrying both a driver and a passenger, went down after striking loose gravel. It is not known at this time if they were traveling on the northbound ramp from McAndrews Road or northbound on Highway 77 when the crash occurred. The driver was not wearing a helmet, while the passenger was properly helmeted at the time of the crash. Both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to separate hospitals for treatment.
Following the crash, the right lane of northbound Highway 77 and the northbound ramp from McAndrews Road were closed to traffic while first responders worked to assist the injured and investigate the crash. The northbound ramp was reopened around 12:10 PM.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol. Officials have not yet released the names of those involved.
