Minneapolis Police Seek Public’s Help in Solving Killing of Omari Engle

MINNEAPOLIS MN: The Minneapolis Police Department Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s help as investigators continue working to solve the death of Omari Engle.

According to police, Engle was shot on June 20, 2023. Evidence indicates he was driving westbound on Highway 94 when he was struck by gunfire. Authorities say he exited the interstate and crashed into a garage near 3800 6th Street North, where officers located him just after midnight.

Engle was transported to North Memorial Health, where he later died from his injuries.

Despite ongoing investigative efforts, no arrests have been made in the case. Investigators say they are continuing to review evidence and follow up on leads but are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Police emphasize that every detail matters — even information that may seem minor could help identify those responsible.
