Incident Details
According to the criminal complaint from the Scott County Attorney’s Office, on September 25, 2025, at approximately 7:27 p.m., Savage Police were dispatched to a 911 hang-up call in the 4000 block of 137 ½ Street West in Savage. Dispatch received a follow-up call from the same reporting party and victim, who stated that a man had pulled a firearm on her.
When officers arrived, the victim told them she had met Megran through an online social platform called Seeking in August. That evening, she went to his home for dinner and conversation. She told police that when she attempted to leave around 7:30 p.m., Megran became upset, retrieved a black 9mm handgun from his bedroom, and told her: “Things are going to get ugly.”
Believing the remark to be a threat because she declined to have sex with him, the victim then called 911 and left the residence.
Police Response
The incident prompted a multi-agency law enforcement and emergency response, involving SWAT teams. The Savage Police Department, Savage Fire Department, Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Prior Lake Police Department, Shakopee Police Department, and Burnsville Police Department all responded to the incident.
According to the criminal complaint, officers attempted to contact Megran by phone and observed movement inside the home, but received no answer. A search warrant was obtained, and officers made multiple callouts ordering him to exit. After using a breaching device on the front door, the police reissued commands. Megran eventually came to the door and surrendered without incident.
During a search of the residence, police recovered multiple rifles in a closet, ammunition, a holster under the bed, and a black Taurus 9mm pistol matching the victim’s description.
Bail and Court Proceedings
Megran was booked into the Scott County Jail. His bail was set at $10,000 cash or a $100,000 non-cash bond, both with conditions.
He is scheduled to make his next court appearance on October 10, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the Scott County Courthouse in Shakopee.
