Garage Fire Contained at Shakopee Home Sunday Night; No Injuries Reported

SHAKOPEE, MINNESOTA—At approximately 10:12 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2025, the Shakopee Fire Department responded to a report of a residential structure fire in the 1900 block of Aloha Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a working fire in the garage of a single-family home and immediately upgraded the call to a second alarm.
According to the Shakopee Fire Department’s Chief, Joe Simon, the blaze was contained to the garage, which sustained significant damage. The remainder of the home experienced only minor smoke damage thanks to the quick action of fire crews. Mutual aid was provided by the Mdewakanton, Carver, Chanhassen, and Chaska Fire Departments. Shakopee Police and Allina Ambulance also assisted on scene to support operations and ensure resident safety.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies, there were no injuries to residents or emergency personnel. Firefighters remained on scene for an extended period to ensure hot spots were fully extinguished and to assess damage.
The Shakopee Fire Department says the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
