Woman fatally stabbed in St. Cloud; husband identified as suspect

ST. CLOUD MN — A 22-year-old St. Cloud woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds inside an apartment Saturday night, and her husband has been identified as the suspect, according to St. Cloud Police.
Officers were dispatched at about 8:20 p.m. on Feb. 7 to a medical emergency in the 3100 block of 40th Avenue South. Upon arrival, police located a deceased adult woman inside the residence. The victim was later identified as Hallie Marie Tobler, 22, of St. Cloud.
An autopsy conducted by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office determined Hallie Tobler’s injuries were consistent with multiple stab wounds.
Police say the male involved, identified as 23-year-old Dylan Michael Tobler of St. Cloud, was also found inside the apartment with life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe his injuries were self-inflicted. He was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
According to police, Dylan and Hallie Tobler were married and were alone in the locked apartment at the time of the incident. Based on the investigation, authorities believe Dylan Tobler is responsible for Hallie Tobler’s injuries and death.
Once released from the hospital, Dylan Tobler will be transported to the Stearns County Jail and is expected to be held for court on charges related to the homicide.
Police say there is no threat to the public. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation, which remains active.
