St. Paul Tattoo Artist Charged With Felony Criminal Sexual Conduct Following Alleged Incident During Tattoo Appointment

SAINT PAUL MN: A St. Paul tattoo artist has been charged in Ramsey County with two felony counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct after an incident that allegedly occurred while a client was receiving a tattoo, according to a criminal complaint.
Michael Thomas Boyer is charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a prohibited occupational relationship and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct involving coercion. Both charges stem from an alleged incident on or about Feb. 9, 2026, in Ramsey County.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged incident occurred inside a tattoo shop in St. Paul while the victim was in the process of getting a tattoo. Prosecutors allege Boyer engaged in sexual contact with the victim during the appointment.
Under Minnesota law, each charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a $20,000 fine, or both.
Boyer is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
