SAINT PAUL MN: A 17-year-old has been charged in Ramsey County District Court with Aggravated Robbery – 1st Degree following an alleged armed robbery tied to a Facebook Marketplace transaction in St. Paul, according to a criminal complaint.
The complaint states that on March 26, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers with the Saint Paul Police Department responded to a report of an aggravated robbery near Minnehaha Avenue East and Hazel Street.
According to the complaint, the victim arranged to meet a man to sell a Goyard handbag for $350. The suspect allegedly attempted to send payment via Cash App, but the transfer did not go through. The complaint states the suspect then produced a black handgun, pointed it at the victim, took the handbag, and fled in a 2008 Nissan Altima.
The complaint further states the victim followed the suspect vehicle. At one point, the suspect allegedly stopped, exited the vehicle, and pointed the handgun at the victim a second time before continuing to flee.
According to the complaint, the suspect vehicle later crashed into another vehicle, and the driver fled on foot. Investigators state the victim’s vehicle camera captured clear images of the suspect.
The complaint states officers determined the registered owner of the Nissan had recently sold the vehicle to an individual associated with a phone number linked to Derrick Robert Mansheck, DOB May 24, 2007. Officers compared driver’s license images of Mansheck to the camera footage and identified him as the suspect.
A search warrant executed on the crashed vehicle resulted in the recovery of the stolen handbag and an extended handgun magazine from inside the vehicle, according to the complaint.
On April 2, 2026, officers arrested Mansheck at an apartment identified as his mother’s residence. The complaint states he declined to provide a custodial statement.
The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
