Burnsville could soon have a new public warning siren with a significantly greater notification range near the former Fire Station 1 property, as the City Council considers a $37,654 project to replace and relocate the existing siren.

MVTA will unveil its new Burnsville Transit Station Community Showcase during a public open house on Aug. 4, featuring artwork from Lifeworks clients and celebrating local organizations throughout the south metro.

The City of Apple Valley is continuing restoration efforts at Alimagnet Park with targeted herbicide treatments as part of a $262,009 DNR-funded project to remove invasive buckthorn, restore native habitat, and improve biodiversity in the park through 2027.

The City of Burnsville is inviting residents of all ages to attend Swiftie Skate Night on Thursday, March 13, at the Burnsville Ice Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
