Teen Injured After Vehicle Strikes Scooter Near Cliff Road and Cedar Avenue in Eagan

EAGAN, MINNESOTA – A 14-year-old boy was injured Tuesday night after a vehicle struck him while he was riding a scooter near the intersection of Cliff Road and the northbound on-ramp to Cedar Avenue (Highway 77).

The crash occurred at 9:59 p.m. on November 25, 2025, prompting a multi-agency emergency response from Eagan Fire, Eagan Police, MHealth medics, and the Minnesota State Patrol. According to the State Patrol’s preliminary investigation, a car was traveling eastbound on Cliff Road and was attempting to turn northbound onto Highway 77 when it collided with the teen, who was riding a scooter westbound on Cliff Road.

The 14-year-old boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The northbound Highway 77 on-ramp was temporarily closed to allow responders to secure the scene and investigate the circumstances of the crash. The ramp was reopened at 10:32 p.m. The Minnesota State Patrol reports that the investigation into the incident remains ongoing as they work to determine the whole sequence of events leading up to the collision.
