Vehicle Leaves Cedar Avenue, Crashes Into the Side of a Home in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - Emergency crews responded Monday morning to a crash involving a vehicle that left the roadway and struck the side of a home near Cedar Avenue.

At approximately 7:20 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026, Apple Valley Fire, Apple Valley Police, and the Minnesota State Patrol were dispatched to the area of Cedar Avenue and 138th Street in Apple Valley following reports that a vehicle had crashed into a residence.

According to law enforcement, the vehicle was traveling northbound on Cedar Avenue when it allegedly lost control. The vehicle left the roadway, traveled through the right ditch, went up a hill, drove over a metal wire fence separating the highway from East Frontage Road, crossed East Frontage Road, and ultimately struck trees and the side of a home in the 7400 block of Upper 136th Street West.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the driver showed no signs of impairment. Authorities and family members confirmed that the driver did not sustain any serious injuries, with the exception of a head laceration. The driver declined transport by emergency medical personnel and indicated they would seek further medical evaluation on their own.

No additional injuries were reported, and there is no word at this time on the extent of the home's damage. The incident remains under investigation.
