Allina Health Opens New Urgent Care in Hastings, Expanding Access to Walk-In Care Seven Days a Week
HASTINGS, MINNESOTA –Hastings residents now have a new option for convenient, same-day medical care as Allina Health officially opens its new Urgent Care – Hastings at 1880 N. Frontage Road. The facility, located inside the existing Allina Health Hastings Clinic, is welcoming its first patients this week with expanded hours and walk-in availability for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
Previously, the Hastings clinic offered “same-day care” only during regular business hours and by appointment. The new urgent care service removes that limitation, allowing community members to walk in or use Allina Health’s online tools to secure their place in line, including the “On My Way” feature available through the Allina Health website and mobile app.
Expanded Hours for Convenient Access
Allina Health Urgent Care – Hastings is open seven days a week:
Monday, Thursday, and Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The new hours give residents more flexibility for unexpected illnesses or minor injuries that can’t wait for a regular appointment, especially as the region enters cold and flu season.
Walk-In or Use “On My Way”
Patients can enter through the main clinic entrance and check in for urgent care without an appointment. For added convenience, the “On My Way” online feature allows patients to see current wait times, alert the clinic they’re coming, and receive text updates, functioning like a “call-ahead seating” system at restaurants. Wait times depend on the number of patients and the severity of their conditions.

A Timely Expansion for the Upcoming Respiratory Season
“As we head into the busy flu and respiratory illness season, the availability of urgent care can help treat community members more quickly and alleviate the frustration that may come with longer wait times in the hospital emergency department,” said Todd Smith, MD, Medical Director for Allina Health Urgent Care. "We’re excited to offer this expanded service to community members so we can help treat more people quickly and get them back to being productive and enjoying life.”
Continuing Care Options
In addition to the new urgent care option, Allina Health Hastings Clinic continues to offer scheduled in-person appointments with primary care providers and virtual care options available 24/7 through On-Demand Video Visits and Online Questionnaires.
