Published: November 29, 2025.

BROOKLYN CENTER, MINNESOTA - A man was hospitalized early Saturday morning after fleeing from a Minnesota State Trooper at high speed and crashing along a major interstate interchange, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The incident began at 3:02 a.m. on November 29, 2025, when a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on northbound I-94 near 49th Avenue in Minneapolis. Instead of stopping, the driver accelerated and actively fled, prompting a pursuit north through the metro. Shortly afterward, the fleeing vehicle crashed in the area of northbound I-94 to westbound I-694 in Brooklyn Center. The impact was severe enough that the male driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was ejected during the crash.

He was transported to North Memorial Hospital with injuries. His condition has not yet been released.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is now leading the investigation. Authorities have not released any additional details, including the driver’s identity or their condition.

The State Patrol noted that the investigation remains ongoing. Further updates are expected as investigators work to determine the sequence of events that led to the crash.
