One Injured After Vehicle Crashes Off Highway 169 and Lands on Railroad Tracks in Shakopee

SHAKOPEE, MINNESOTA — A 22-year-old Shakopee woman was injured late Sunday morning after her vehicle left the roadway along Highway 169, went through the center median, and crashed over a retaining wall onto nearby railroad tracks, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash occurred around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025. State troopers responded to the scene and determined it was a single-vehicle incident. Early information indicates the vehicle veered off Highway 169, crossed the median, and went over the wall separating the highway from the adjacent rail corridor. Officials have not yet specified which direction.
The driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shakopee Fire Department responded to the scene to assist with emergency operations. Savage Fire was initially requested for mutual aid but was later canceled as the situation stabilized.
Rail traffic was temporarily halted while crews secured the scene and ensured there were no additional hazards.
The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash. No additional details have been released.
