Burnsville Police Investigating a Shooting on River Ridge Blvd Near Grand Slam in Burnsville; No Injuries Reported

BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - Police are investigating a reported shooting Friday evening near a busy commercial area in Burnsville, where multiple shell casings were found on the roadway. Burnsville officials have confirmed that, at this time, no victims or suspects have been identified, and there are no known threats to the public.
Emergency personnel were dispatched at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, to the area of River Ridge Boulevard and River Ridge Lane following reports of a shooting, possibly a drive-by, outside Grand Slam.
When officers arrived, they located several shell casings in the roadway, confirming that gunfire had occurred. As of Friday evening, authorities at the scene told Limitless Media they were not aware of any victims or reported injuries connected to the incident.
Suspect Vehicles
According to initial radio dispatch traffic, the shots were reportedly fired from a black sedan. The vehicle was described as being occupied by a “darker-skinned male” wearing a beanie and dark clothing, who was allegedly seen holding a rifle out of the vehicle’s window. Dispatch information indicated that one of the suspect vehicles was last seen traveling northbound on I-35W from Highway 13. Burnsville officials have confirmed that there were numerous vehicles involved in this incident, and they report that two of those vehicles have been located with suspected bullet holes in them.
One of those vehicles was located by Burnsville and Bloomington police near I-35W and Black Dog Road. The vehicle reportedly had "numerous" bullet holes, but it was found unoccupied.
Road Closures in Effect
As the investigation continues, police have closed multiple roadways in the immediate area:
River Ridge Lane is closed between River Ridge Boulevard and the Holiday gas station.
River Ridge Boulevard is closed between North River Ridge Circle and River Ridge Lane.

Recent Burnsville Shootings
This shooting comes four days after the fatal shooting at the Glen at Burnsville, which resulted in the death of a 14-year-old boy on February 9, 2026, on Harriet Avenue South, only about a mile away from the scene of the shooting tonight. Burnsville saw another fatal shooting back on January 25, 2026, in the area of the Andrews Pointe Townhomes, which resulted in a male later dying from his injuries about 2.5 miles north near Highway 13 and Cliff Road.
