One Hospitalized, One Arrested for Suspicion of DWI After Morning Crash in Eagan
EAGAN, MINNESOTA - Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries Friday morning at the intersection of Diffley Road and southbound I-35E in Eagan.
The crash was reported just after 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025, prompting a response from Eagan Police, Eagan Fire Department, M Health Fairview EMS, and MnDOT's FIRST (Freeway Incident Response Safety Team). Authorities temporarily shut down eastbound Diffley at the intersection while crews worked to assess the scene and clear debris.
According to Eagan Police, one individual was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The severity of their injuries was not immediately known. A second person involved in the crash was taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. An investigation is ongoing into this. Police say both individuals were the only occupants in their respective vehicles.
By 9:45 a.m., the scene had been cleared and the road was fully reopened to traffic.
