Residential Fire Displaces Family in Lakeville; No Injuries Reported

LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA - A family was displaced Wednesday afternoon, June 3, 2026, after a residential structure fire caused significant damage to a home in the 9900 block of Upper 205th Street West, according to the Lakeville Fire Department.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the reported structure fire at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3. When firefighters arrived on scene, they encountered heavy smoke and flames that had already spread from the garage into the main portion of the residence. Fire officials said the rapid progression and size of the fire prompted an upgrade to a second alarm, bringing additional personnel and equipment to assist with firefighting operations.

Additional resources from Lakeville Fire Station 3 and the Farmington Fire Department responded to support crews working to contain the blaze.

All occupants of the home safely evacuated before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported among residents or emergency responders.

The home sustained substantial damage, leaving the family displaced. According to the Lakeville Fire Department, family members are assisting those affected by the fire as they work through the aftermath.

The cause of the fire remains under active investigation. Fire officials have not yet released information regarding what may have sparked the blaze.

The Lakeville Fire Department said additional information will be released as the investigation continues.
