E-Bike Rider Injured in Crash Involving State Trooper in Lakeville

LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA— We have officially learned that the Lakeville Police Department is investigating a crash involving a Minnesota State Patrol vehicle and an e-bike rider that occurred Thursday afternoon, June 26, 2025, in Lakeville.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Kenwood Trail, just east of I-35. According to the Lakeville Police Department, a State Patrol Trooper was behind the wheel of an unmarked vehicle involved in the collision. Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the bicyclist, a 58-year-old man riding an electric bike, to a nearby hospital. Officials say his injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

The Lakeville Police Department is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash. No additional details about the circumstances or the identity of those involved have been released.
